Kevin Noone 12 & 13

The biggest thing that I took away from the class is that a great design is not just a great idea. A great design is sparked by a great idea, but the final design is perfected through a very involved and detailed process. When you are using something that has been designed very well, you take it for granted that someone actually spent the time to make it the way it is. This class has taught me what is included in that time, research, testing, prototyping, sketching, etc. until it is as close to perfect as it can be. I also enjoyed gaining experience in the skill of trade-offs. By knowing what is absolutely necessary and what is just a show-off feature, you really understand how to separate your design from others.
